Summary

Blend is a soldier in the Bridgeburners' 7th Squad, serving under Sergeant Antsy alongside Corporal Picker. She possesses an uncanny ability to blend into her surroundings — not through magical means but through a natural talent for stillness and invisibility that borders on the supernatural. People simply fail to notice her, even when she is standing in plain sight.

Blend is one of the veteran Bridgeburners who survives the company's destruction and settles in Darujhistan, becoming part of the group that runs K'rul's Bar.

Book 3: Memories of Ice

Blend serves in the 7th Squad during the campaign against the Pannion Domin. Her talent for going unnoticed makes her an invaluable scout and spy. She participates in the fighting at Capustan and Coral, surviving the Fall of the Bridgeburners.

Her relationship with Picker is a central element of her character — the two are close companions, and Blend's feelings for Picker deepen throughout the campaign.

Book 8: Toll the Hounds

Blend has settled in Darujhistan with the other Bridgeburner veterans, helping run K'rul's Bar. She serves as the bar's unofficial bouncer and security, using her talent for invisibility to watch for trouble. Her relationship with Picker has become the emotional anchor of both their lives.

When violence returns to Darujhistan, Blend is critically injured in an attack on the bar. Her wounding galvanizes the other veterans and drives much of the emotional tension in the Bridgeburner subplot.
